Beamish

Over Easter, Norma decided she wanted to visit Beamish museum. Sunday weather was nice, so a quick ring round, sort out a nice route and we were off.7 bikes started, 5 finished (Jean and Malcolm turned back at Leyburn).

The route was great - lunch at Leyburn and a divert to Barnard Castle when I turned left too early. But then we found this wonderful B road up to Stanhope and Consett, so that was OK. We got to Beamish at 3:15 only to find last admission was at 3 o'clock. Oops..... So, we had a cup of tea and wandered back home.

Some pictures.

The first loo stop at Kettlewell. Notice the sunshine !
Lunch at Leyburn. The best fish for miles around
I decided we needed a landscape stop. The roads were great and the views stunning
Gary went ahead and snapped us round a bend. No-one fell off this time !
Finally, at Beamish, studying the route back.
