A warm and sunny day. The early start was a bit hard but we made it (well,
most of us did, there were 2 who couldn't get out of bed!!!)
So, a quick blat down the motorway, stopping only to annoy the motorway toll
booth people by taking a loooong time to get out our £1, and we arrived at the
factory to be greeted by thousands of other bikers - funnily enough, most of
them on Triumphs.
The factory tour was interesting - the Rocket 3 was spectacular - I want one
!!! Afterwards, we basked in the sun until the stunts were on, watched them for
a while and then made out sedate way out. Gary said that he had this new route
back - we suffered it for a while and then, after afternoon tea at Sudbury Hall,
looked at the map and chose a better one.
But, as always, a superb day out. Some pictures and the normal comments !!!
Why does it take three people to chain up a bike ? |

A prize for the best caption here ! |
|
In the factory, the men concentrating on the assembly line, the
ladies obviously having a right old gossip (probably about men) |
|
Brian tried to get a different view of the exhibit |
|
Afterwards, Manhoc's second favourite pastime |
|
This guy knows how to wear out his bikes! |
|
Onwards to Sudbury Hall. Alec was a bit hot, hence the natty
headwear, but he still found time for a cake and tea (but no cup!) |
|
Geoff & Karen also enjoyed their repast on the lawn |
|
Malcolm ordered not one but two ice creams |
|
And Geoff was forgiven (from what we ask ?) |
|
Meanwhile, Gary was exercising his brain cells |
