This was an extra ride slotted in on a free weekend. We decided to go to Scarborough to watch some bike racing at Olivers Mount.

Sunday morning was cloudy with the odd drizzle - so I was not too hopeful of a large turnout. In the end we had 7 bikes turn up and 6 go on the ride - Malcolm and Val decided not to take the "boring" route to the racing....

We decided to go via the motorways because it was miserable and we wanted to get over to the nice weather. As it turned out, once we got by Leeds, it was hot and sunny. We stopped off for a Little Chef breakfast and then made our way into the site.

Parking on the grass proved interesting - but we managed. I'm not sure how Pauls bike stayed upright.....

The racing was fun and I managed to get some good snaps. Then we set off back home via Helmsely where a large contingent of Harley owners were gathered. Peters comments about tractors and ploughing went down particularly well.

Some pictures:

Setting off. Paul seemed happy to see us all.
Once we got there - working out how to keep the bikes upright
Pauls bike just managed it - he seemed OK with the lean
And some racing pictures - they did like to get both wheels off the ground in places.
And some more - no 2 is Ian Lougher who seemed to win most of the races - as the commentator kept telling us.
Now, the quiz - who's hair is this ? [Answer at the Xmas do]
