Oh joy, Oh bliss. The hot weather has finally arrived. Yes, at 9am, when we set off for the meet, it was a sunny 23c. Hopefully, the first of many rides like this.

Got to the meeting to find loads of bikes and people. We ended up with 14 bikes and 4 pillions - a good number for an outing. We set off promptly at 10am - or we would have if Steve hadn't needed to top his bike up. That's the trouble with these boy racer bikes - once around the block and they're empty (he he).

The ride was much improved over previous ones - partly because of the weather, partly because Gary has much more confidence since his Bikesafe course - everyone should do one. And, after a brief stop at Corwin, we got to Port Merion in record time - Gary only led us wrong once.

We all managed to get in at reduced rates - I think they were told we were all OAP's - well, if you could have seen some of us walking in leathers, you'd think that. After a cracking lunch, we all wandered around and ended up by the paddling pool. Norma and Paul went for a paddle - Gary tried, but managed to slip over. I think he needs Bridgestone treads on his feet !!!!

We all set off back - Norma, Paul and I stormed up the direct route, the rest had a bimble along some nice B roads. [Turns out that Jayne set off to follow us but got lost - still she got home OK]

So, as always, some pictures (good and bad)

At the start. A good crowd turned up. Gary was offering water to all (at least, that's what he said it was).
John managed to turn up showing everyone what he was made of - and then went off for petrol like that.
Paul and Norma in matching hats.
Once at Port Merion, we ambled in. Norma provided the helmet park
And so to lunch. As always, Gary had his cake and eat it. The rest of us were more sedate (note the ginormous eclair by judy)
Norma broke the button on her shorts but, in the best Scouting tradition, had cotton, thread and safety pins to effect a repair.
Then off for a walk, meeting up after the obligatory icecream. Note the sartorial elegance of the two Alan's.
There seemed to be a lot of holding hands - have we started a new trend ?
Then, time for the paddling. Gary gave up after his injury. Paul and Norma braved the waves and coral reefs.
Then, Paul attacked the fountain and managed to break it.....
Meanwhile, the audience were riveted to the action.
Gary got some of his angels for the classic pose. Then went a bit far and got the classic response....
