A grey start to the morning - but not too bad. The bikes dribbled in, one by one, until there were 8 bikes - with 6 of them being Hondas (is this a record?).

We set off - only to stop within a couple of miles when the Varadero just cut out. Much grunting and pushing to the local Ducati dealers where a suspect fuse was replaced and all was well (shame the AA had already been called out!). Many thanks to Manchester Ducati who's help was valuable and well received. So, we set off again over the tops. The wind was howling a bit and some of the bikes seemed to be riding sideways at times. At long last we arrived at Blue John Mines (or somewhere nearby) where the Varadero was ceremoniously dumped on the ground (OK, his foot slipped). Still, no harm done.

The car park was quite a walk from the mines - we think this was Gary's revenge - so we all had a bit of a march to get there. Still, it was worth it. The tour was just about to set off when we arrived and was very informative - a 90 minute bit of education!

Then, back to the bikes to find a nice pub for lunch - which we did. Once we had decided where to park (the public car park was invaded by traffic wardens so we ended up parking for free in the pub car park).

So some pictures - my thanks to Derek and Judy for these.

At the start - a bit of tomfoolery while waiting for everyone to turn up.

Then, off we go - for a little while....
Now that the fuse box is open, would you like to check them?
No, I thought not !
I'll just walk in, shall I?
Still, the butties were very nice.
Umm - sorry - a bit late, we've fixed it (OK, Manchester Ducati fixed it)
Then to the Blue John Mines car park (Doesn't Geoff look sweet!)
And the walk in.
Once there, we hung around for a while
And then inside - it was dark, which is why the pictures aren't brilliant.
Back outside - and over to the pub for lunch
At least someone was enjoying themself.
