Report from Judy:

An early start but what a lovely day.
7 bikes with 4 pillions - not a bad turn out. Geoff and Lynn met us on the woodhead pass, (obviously wanted a bit more of a lie in than the rest of us) and then we were 8 bikes and 5 pillions.
It was along ride with the obligatory wrong turn involved. Gary only realised after we had been around half a dozen roundabouts too many and Geoff said his Sat Nav was trying to get him to turn back. So we turned around and did them all again in the opposite direction, eventually arriving in Mablethorpe.
After Gary negotiated a deal with car park lady we parked up and discarded as much clothing as was decent - it was really hot - and went to see the seals, aaaahhhh, and the birds and the reptiles and the hot house and eventually finished off with a nice cup of tea. Well some of us did. Others had slightly more - Gary, cream scone and Tony a massive sandwich.
Hunger called and so we tottered off to the pub next to the sanctuary for food, and very nice it was too
By this time it was getting late and we were a long way from home so we decided to take the most direct route we could.
Except for the 5 of us who called to see Alan who had called in poorly to see if he was feeling better. Norma did her usual hospitality bit and invited us all to have a bit of tea, which we did and which was very much appreciated and enjoyed.
Enjoy the pictures, it was a fun day out

As an update: Derek took his video camera with him and showed the results at last Thursdays meeting. Highlights:

bullet

Steve being overtaken by a milk float - I'm sure  a Blackbird can accelerate if the throttle is actually used (at least that is what Derek told me!)

bullet

Derek being carved up by a car which then panics when the driver sees what looks like a cop and drives straight up the verge

Roundabouts, roundabouts and more roundabouts.

Arriving at the start
For some strange reason, Geoff wants to park near a mobile home - must be some strange obsession he has.
I think we've arrived
Lots of wandering around - note the lovely sunshine.

And still more. Not sure what Gary was looking for - and I think Steve wanted to jump in and cool off at one point.

Then, of course, the obligatory eating!
Followed by leaving to find a cafe for food.
Which they all did!
