Report from Gary since I was on holiday in France:
The weather lived up to the forecast. Warm and
sunny. When I got to Haslingden, there were a few already there. We set off
with eight bikes and three passengers.
We headed the the Trough of Bowland with some
narrow roads and slow tricky bends. Peter left us about half way feeling
unwell, and we carried on to Devils Bridge for a rest and a cuppa. About
twenty minutes later we were back on the road to Flookburgh where the model
village is. After looking round the village we called in the local pub for
what we do best. FOOD!!
Then Gary had the insane idea to shorten the
ride to watch England attempt to play football. So we found a pub in
Ingleton where most left at half time and Gary and Keith left after Germanys
third.
Gary apologises to all concerned for spoiling
the ride and will not do that again.(Not for four years anyway).
Pictures from Jean - no comments since I wasn't around to observe - but some good off the shoulder ones.:
And some from Keith.
