Report from Gary:

It was raining when I got up. It was raining when I got to Poplar services and also when we set off. Only three bikes and one pillion.

Phil and Jean were making sure they stayed on top of the sore ass league. And welcome to Clive Yates, all the way from Kidsgrove, invited by Jean. Who would refuse an invitation from Jean??

The rain continued as we garyvanted around Cheshire and Shropshire to arrive at the Raven Café near Whitchurch. Here we indulged in our other favourite pastime of eating.

Fully nourished we went outside to gorgeous sunshine which lasted for the rest of the day. Wales here we come. Down the A483 past Oswestry and then over the hills to Bala. Then after an ice cream near the lake we head back via Ruthin, Wrexham and Nantwich.

I think Clive enjoyed the ride, as he promised to bring his mate to the next ride, even though we are going to York from Haslingden. He’ll have a nice ride just to get to the meeting point. I might join him.

And some pictures from Jean

At the start - weather damp - but we are still smiling
Garys radio needs sorting out.
And still needs to be fixed.
The height of sartorial cuisine. Who says MANHOC doesn't eat well!
Quick fuel stop and we are off again.
Just to prove we do actually ride!
But then again....
