Lancaster Castle

(well, sort of!)

10am in the morning, and not too bad a day! First one there was Greg on his Fireblade, followed by myself. Yes, I actually beat Mr Fisher to the meeting point! Then they came thick and fast, including Diesel Westwell,(see photo), and finally, (eventually), bringing up the rear were Paul and Julie.

Right! We're off, up the M61! God knows why we meet at those Services, but hey, we do!

Onto the M65, off at Whalley and through Read and Simonstone down to the A59. Turn right and open up the throttle down to Gisburn, where its a left and even more throttle is given all the way to Devil's Bridge. Right, bacon butty time!

Food consumed and we're off to Hawes. It was a bit wet and slippy on the way, so when we got there we had a brew, a warm, and some cake. "Right, where now?" I asked. "You're leading!" was heard in the background. OK! Glasson Dock it is then!

Back to Devil's Bridge (no stopping there this time), down through Caton where some of us put petrol in, and others were about to put NOT petrol in! ((See photo), I'm sure he'll have some excuse!)

Into Lancaster and "Ooh look, there's that castle we were originally going to!" Well that's my job done then! I got ya there eventually!

Glasson Dock was the next stop and Sunday Roast for some. It's top nosh from there!

From Glasson Dock we all made our way home. Some peeled off down the motorway, and some of us down the A6, and the A49 where we all seem to go our own way, and home safe and sound, having had a good ride and great banter day.

Cheers guys and gal, I look forward to leading another one some time in the future!

Phil.
