Anglesey

On the 14th July we had our Bastille Day run to Anglesey. The weather was good and we had 7 bikes going.

We started at the Poplar 2000 services. A large contingent of the club turned up. The one in jeans is Colin - Gary's brother.
We stopped off at the Ponderosa Cafe for coffee. As you can see, Ian needed a large space to park his bus (sorry, Gold Wing).
The rest of us just parked at random.

Paul decided the weather was so good he would stay and soak up the sunshine. So 6 bikes (8 people) continued on.

After we left, Gary shot off ahead to take a picture of us. As you can see, my lights were working well.
The journey to Holyhead seemed to take a while. We eventually got there at 4:00. Turned round to find a cafe that was open and Colin's bike broke. Luckily Geoff (he of the multiple CBX550's) was able to get it fixed. Note Ian looking all serious - pretending to be a mechanic!

A good if long day. We eventually got home around 8 o'clock.
